Birth is such a transformative time in a woman's life and I am so blessed to be welcomed into the scared space.

About Me

I'm a homeschooling Momma to 6 Beautiful Blessings and wife of 20 years to an amazing man.  The Lord brought us to Texas 10 years ago and I am so thankful He did.  We love the people and community, especially here in Sweetwater.  Caring for Mother's during their pregnancy and especially through labor has always been a love of mine.  I was a doula for the first time at age 16, when a friend of mine was expecting her first. I saw the power and vulnerability of birth and knew I wanted to provide support during this time.

My love for Midwifery started years later when I was birthing my own children.  I always believed birth was a natural biological process.  I found myself nose deep in many wonderful books on the subject, even when I was not pregnant.   I had the pleasure of using an amazing midwife in Northwest Arkansas for 3 of my first 4 births with great experiences.

When we moved to West Texas and expecting out 5th, I struggled to find a Midwife who served my community.  I ended up having to travel to San Angelo.  Around this time I started serving the community as a Birth Doula.  My goal since then has been to help support Families in our community.  I started Midwifery School at the National College of Midwifery in 2020 and graduated August 2023 becoming a Certified Professional Midwife and Licensed Midwife with the state of Texas.

Throughout my formal education I have had the privilege of working with many different Midwives and learning so much from each of them.  I approach each pregnancy and birth as an opportunity to build relationships while providing support for not only the woman, but the family as a whole.  I love helping guide the family through this time, providing support and education as well as resources. It brings me such great joy to watch a mamma trust her body, her power, and the strength the Lord has given her as she steps into this wonderful new stage of her life.

Birth Philosophy

I firmly believe that pregnancy, labor, and birth are completely normal, physiological processes.  These are not medical conditions. I want every woman to be an active participant in their care.  There are many decisions to be made during this time, this is an opportunity to step into parenthood.  I want you to be in the driver’s seat of your birth, I love being there to help guide you and provide resources, but ultimately this is your baby and your birth and as you step into this role you are preparing for parenthood.

Throughout the pregnancy I will expect you to research, ask lots of questions, read books, listen to podcasts, and have many conversations about the whole process.  I want you to be empowered to make solid decisions about all your care and I will joyfully walk you through listening to your body and trusting the instincts God gave you for yourself and this baby.

A major part of my care is trust building.  Throughout the client-provider relationship trust is built. When it comes time to the labor and birth, we have already developed a deep trusting relationship, I trust you to listen to your instincts and be sure of your decisions, and you trust me to use the knowledge and skills I have acquired to ensure that your birth is progressing normally and safely.

Birth works best when clients can labor where they feel relaxed, safe, and surrounded by love and support.  In times that birth goes outside of normal, our relationship has been built and you can trust me to decide with you about your care to help you transfer care to the best suited location depending on your circumstances.

I trust your body, I trust your instincts, I trust my skills, and most importantly I trust in the Creator who made your body to bring about Beautiful Blessings!  - Midon
